Die Westernshow Generalprobe - Vier Fäuste und ein Gentleman

Behind “Four Fists and a Gentleman” lies a tremendous amount of passion, dedication, and a generous helping of that unmistakable beans-and-Western spirit. The production was created by the First Western Reenactors, a close-knit group of performers, horse riders, stuntmen, and actors who have been bringing the Wild West to life on stage for more than twenty years. Developed in collaboration with the Spencer/Hill Festival and inspired by a fan’s idea, this new adventure finally reunites the legendary heroes Trinity and Bambi for another unforgettable journey.

And, as anyone familiar with these iconic characters would expect, trouble doesn’t simply find them—they practically dive headfirst into it. A mysterious inheritance leads Trinity and Bambi to the dusty frontier town of Dusty Rock. But instead of an easy fortune, they find themselves facing a mountain of problems, a gang of ruthless outlaws, and an opponent about as pleasant as a cactus in the saddle: the merciless crime boss Blackwood. As if that weren’t enough, they are unexpectedly joined by their young half-brother Kid, known throughout the region as “the Little Gentleman.” What follows is a fast-paced adventure packed with misunderstandings, razor-sharp one-liners, and, of course, the legendary fistfights that send hats—and villains—flying in every direction.

The premiere proved once again that the charm of Bud Spencer and Terence Hill remains as powerful as ever. Throughout the performance, the audience responded with roaring laughter and enthusiastic applause. Fans delighted in the carefully crafted slapstick scenes as much as in the witty exchanges that felt as though they had been lifted straight from one of the duo’s classic films.

The expertly choreographed brawls brought exactly the kind of excitement audiences hoped for, while the finale delivered an unexpectedly emotional conclusion. But no spoilers here—some surprises are best experienced firsthand.

Another standout feature of the production is its professional voice work, which adds even greater authenticity to the beloved characters. Dennis Schmidt-Foß provides the voice of Trinity, portrayed on stage by Markus Papiernik, while Tilo Schmitz lends his distinctive voice to Bambi, played by Enrico Langner. The cast is further enhanced by the participation of Charles Rettinghaus, another highly respected figure in German voice acting. For fans of dubbing and voice performance, this is a true treat and a highlight in its own right.

Anyone who missed the premiere need not worry. The next opportunities to experience “Four Fists and a Gentleman” live will be at the Bud Spencer Tribute Event in Rome and at the Spencer/Hill Festival in Ilmenau. For fans of these legendary heroes, this is far more than just a stage show—it is a heartfelt journey back to a time when a plate of beans, a clever one-liner, and two fast fists were enough to make the world a little brighter.
