From September 4 to 7, Ilmenau in Thuringia will turn into the dream destination for all Bud Spencer and Terence Hill fans, as the Spencer/Hill Festival will take place there for the second year in a row, expecting up to 20,000 visitors.
For this year, together with the City of Ilmenau, we’ve come up with a special surprise: for the duration of the festival, Ilmenau will be renamed Hillmenau!
In honor of the Italian actor Terence Hill, oversized city entrance signs with the new name will be installed on the main access roads — so that guests from all over Europe will be officially welcomed to Hillmenau.
Ilmenau’s mayor, Daniel Schultheiß, commented:
“We are proud to host the Spencer/Hill Festival and are once again looking forward to welcoming so many guests to our beautiful city, where they can celebrate such a wonderfully peaceful and friendly event. To show our guests how welcome they are, we are temporarily — and with a wink — renaming our city after one of their idols.”
By the way, the new “Hillmenau” city sign is available as a magnet and metal postcard in the festival shop.
See you in September in Hillmenau!
