Kostüme beim Spencerhill Festival 2021

FIRST WEEK END

Giuseppe Pedersoli with his sons Alessandro and Carlo driving a red Dune Buggy with a yellow hood have inaugurated the Festival 2021, immersed in a ocean of warm enthusiasm of many fans who had to give up the big party in 2020.

Mandatory testing, distancing, and other strict "anti-corona" rules made everything a little strange. But with the commitment of all participants we managed to party, even in the midst of a pandemic, along with many important guests. One of these was the great Sal Borgese who did not spare himself, giving himself completely to his many fans with photos, interviews and performances on stage. The traditional Beer and Sausage competition this year was attended by two very special competitors. Bud Spencer's nephews, Alessandro and Carlo Pedersoli, teamed up and faced the challenge, winning second place after a fierce race to the last mouthful. Bud would also have loved the tug-of-war competition and other games with the close-knit audience participation. The public viewings from the big screen on the main stage were also very entertaining, allowing us all to enjoy our favorite movies together again. In the early afternoon our Stuntcrew performed for all of us in the reenactment of one of the most famous scenes from the movie They called him Trinity and other famous scenes from other movies, combined in a brilliant mix. In the evening our skilled and talented stunt men excited the audience again with a show dedicated to Trinity in the suggestive far west setting of the town of El Dorado. The Friday and Saturday night stunt shows concluded with a laser light show and grandiose fireworks display.

With their original a cappella versions of hits like Grau Grau Grau the Full Moon closed out the evening of music on Friday, September 3 on the main stage.

Sal Borgese, the La Bionda brothers and Rainer Brandt were with us for the whole day of Saturday, September 4, letting themselves be immortalized together with all the others present at the festival in the Big Picture 2021 taken by drone.

The stars of the Movie-Parade this year were once again the many passionate fans in costume, dressed as various characters from the Bud Spencer & Terence Hill movies.  Immediately afterwards, on the main stage, in order to honor the efforts of the fans in the realization of costumes so faithful to the originals, the Full Moon performed again in an exciting concert. But the highlight of the program on Saturday, September 4 came with the performance of the great La Bionda brothers who performed many hits from the Bud & Terence movies and some of their international hits live on stage. At the end of the evening the Dune Buggy band took the stage and continued to ride the enthusiasm of the audience with a fun concert full of energy. We all sang along with them at the top of our lungs to the many other songs from our favorite movies.

After the great party of the first weekend some left but many stayed until the following weekend.

Second weekend

Also for the second weekend many of the participating fans showed off fantastic costumes and so we continued the great party. We had the honor to host during the second part of the Festival Bud Spencer's daughters Cristiana and Diamante Pedersoli and his grandson Sebastiano Pigazzi, Diamante's son. On Friday, September 10, we were joined by our friend Riccardo Pizzuti who, together with Sal Borgese, fascinated and entertained the audience with improvised performances on the stage of the Stunt-Arena. Reiner Brandt's wife also joined us and she told us funny anecdotes about her life with her famous husband.

The musical program of this second weekend was also very rich. The Spencer Hill Magic Band took the stage. The Hungarian band gave us all an electrifying live performance, warming up the atmosphere only as they know how to do.

The La Bionda brothers also came back to visit us and the audience didn't want them to get off the stage anymore and always asked for a new bis. The Oliver Onions were also our guests, who presented the video clip of the new version of Dune Buggy and met their fans, took thousands of selfies and signed countless autographs. We also captured this second weekend in a Big Picture from the drone with all the participating guests and the audience. In the afternoon we again gave everyone the opportunity to show off their costumes to the fullest with the Movie Parade.

It was a great party after the sad break of 2020 and we are very happy to be back partying with our fellow fans.  At this point we just have to thank the El Dorado staff, the technicians, the caterers, security and of course our Spencerhill Team for their commitment and convinced cooperation. We look forward to seeing you next year!
