It all began in 2009, when singer & guitarist Davide Stefanon had an idea while watching Oliver Onion's music videos: Who still knows and loves these songs? Together with his friend Giovanni Celeste, the vision was born - shortly afterwards, drummer Mel Contino and bassist Francesco D'Ambrosio joined and gave the Dune Buggy Band its unique, intoxicating sound!

With an explosive mix of legendary soundtracks, live music & spectacular costumes, the band has quickly become one of the most popular party bands in Italy. As an Oliver Onions tribute band, they primarily play the classics by Guido & Maurizio De Angelis, but have expanded their repertoire to include other cult composers such as Franco Micalizzi, La Bionda and Ennio Morricone.

The Dune Buggy Band celebrated their German debut in 2015 at the Spencerhill Festival in Templin - and it was love at first sound! Since then, they have been a permanent fixture at the festival, providing an unforgettable show full of energy, nostalgia and party atmosphere year after year.
In 2025 they will be celebrating their 10th festival anniversary in Ilmenau!
